Colleen A. Driscoll
Colleen has over 20 years coaching experience
on the Masters,
collegiate and age group levels. She is the Former Head Coach of the
Nassau Community College Women's & Men's Swim Teams, is a current AquaFit
Masters Swim Coach & Instructor, and also an age group Stroke Clinic
teacher.
Colleen brings incomparable
structure, discipline, organization and
leadership to AquaFit with her knowledge and experience in all aspects
of swimming as she works with our intermediate through advanced-skill
swimmers & triathletes enrolled in our weekday evening Combo Program.

the United States
Masters
Swimming Board
of Directors as National Insurance Committee
Chairperson, and is the current appointed Metropolitan Insurance & Safety
Coordinator. Colleen formerly chaired a USMS/LMSC Grievance Committee,
and was a former Secretary/Board member of Metropolitan Swimming.
Colleen obtained a B.A. in Psychology
from Manhattanville College
and has her New York State Elementary Education Certification, along
with
a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Molloy College.
She is currently an educator in the East Rockaway School District.
Active for over 40 years in
competitive pool & open water swimming,
Colleen has successfully navigated events such as the
Swim Across
America 5K and 1 Mile Open Water Swims, the Point Lookout Ocean Mile
Swim, and the John Daly Ocean Mile Swim event, along with tallying up
a Top Five Age Group Chesapeake Bay 4.4 mile Swim
event finish.
Colleen has also successfully
competed at USMS National (pool)
Championships with Top 10 Age Group Finishes, along with FINA
World Masters Swimming Championships Top 10 Age Group Finishes.
Additional accomplishments include U. S. Swimming Long Distance
Nationals Top 5 Finish;
AIAW Division II & III Collegiate Championship
Relay Team Member;
Collegiate All-American Swimmer; Age Group
New York State Champion;
Metropolitan Junior Olympic Champion.
